Just posting to say have fun all!
Unfortunately I have a conflict that weekend and can't make it.
I'm trying to secure the time off. Looking better as time goes on, so put me down for "probable"
And LoneTracker, good to hear from ya. Was thinking about you when I was up in Sylvania canoeing on Oct.

Darn I don’t think I can make this one. Hopefully I’ll get to a hang at some point.

"Each of us has an Up North. It's a time and a place far from the here and now. It's a map on the wall, a dream in the making, a tugging at one's soul. For those who feel the tug, who make the dream happen, who put the map in the packsack and go, the world is never quite the same." Sam Cook, Up North 1986
Hello Nick,
Do you have a more detailed map of the route, especially the portage trails and actual camp site?
Not all who wander are lost.
If you bring up the area on google you can click on the link for the state of wisconsin. They have a downloadable topo map. You can see where you can park and the destonation. The directions Nick has on the first post are desernable with the two.
As a side note I live about 40miles or 1 hour away from here. If somone wants to hang in my yard thursday night and drive there in the morning friday PM me and I can send you my address.
Last time I camped with Nick was at Pearson, WI, several years ago. Was very cold and a very difficult walk in. Camped with Lonetracker two years ago in the U.P.
I have this on the calendar, and plan to attend. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
Anyone have any idea on how frozen those lakes will be? Enough for us to be safe walking across?
