    converting spider straps to huggers?

I have some spider straps that I may want to convert into huggers (those turte tie suspensions are calling my name). What type of thread do I need to use to use when sewing a loop on the straight end of my straps so as to convert them into a hugger style?

Gutermann Mara 50, Tera 80, or even Mara 70 should all work fine.

Thank you! Now I need to figure out if my sewing machine can handle the job.
