If it was still the 80's I'd say you could make and sell pants out of it. You'd rake in the money!

If you could fill Hammer's wardrobe, you'd be set till retirement.

I "highly" doubt there wouldn't be a horde of folks that wouldn't climb over each other wanting to DIY a hammock with "space fabric".
Heck... If you want to coil up the 550... I would be happy to float you some coin for it (pun intended).
If you have any bits left over, I would be MORE than interested in a small piece of it. Maybe a 2" x 2" square? Something that I could frame and put into my space collection. Maybe we could work out a deal?

The reason you don’t hear of hammocks from parachutes much is that human parachutes are too small to make a hammock without seams. I think the material would be great for a hammock. I would love to have some of the material. Enough for a hammock or enough for a hammock chair. My husband is into space and NOT into hammocks. Maybe I can turn the tide with this for him.
The essential part of me can not be discussed here. Ask me in person.

Believe it or not, these pants were made from 6 separate paracutes....and the guy wasnt even an airborne ranger. LOL!
You could make a couple good hammocks out of each one.

Wondering if anything ever came of this... or if there might be some space cordage and/or fabric hitting the market place sometime in the not too distant future.
