There's not much difference between being a vendor and being an employee of a vendor.

Vendors are treated differently on Hammock Forums - it is important that people understand if the person offering opinions is a vendor or the employee of a vendor.

Read section VII. Vendors of the Terms of Service for HammockForums.net, specifically, section B:

    B. For these guidelines, a vendor includes someone who consistently sells gear for profit and publicly advertises the fact. A member who occasionally makes gear for other members, even for a small fee, is not considered a vendor. A vendor is not restricted to the owner of the business; representatives, sales personnel, and anyone receiving compensation from the company are considered vendors. Moderators will use their discretion in applying this definition.

To put it in more colloquial terms, if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck.

Apparently, Flyin Eyeball has revealed himself to be "anyone receiving compensation," and can be considered a vendor.

Gosh... I let curiosity get the better of me and read this thread from the beginning. What a waste of band width

I want the last fifteen minutes of my life back.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Speaking of bandwidth, I heard it was suggested Netflix disable HD for a while to handle the world going online. But then this won't help:

Sorry if i just killed the thread.

Gotta tell you.. I love your posts.. I always get a chuckle. The 39 years to get this lazy comment elsewhere. I'm laid up for a few days with a nasty back ache and I was in pain laughing.

I've been telling clients to buy stock in Mead Johnson, Kimberly Clark and other baby products.. When people are stuck home with nothing to do they find something to do. Watch the baby explosion nine months from now...you'll thank me then...

Ok.. back to regularly scheduled programming...

Well, this thread has gone 180 degrees. But the last couple posts are priceless.

Now back to the pros and cons of cheap hammock gear....a topic that had been debated about profusely over the years here on HF.
