New Juniper Hammock From Autumn Ultralight!

Hello everyone! This has been a project that I have been working on over the last few months.

I am calling this the Juniper Hammock!

The Juniper is a gathered end, symmetrical, 11 foot hammock with an integrated bugnet.

    Each Juniper includes the following:

    • Continuous Loops
    • Structural Ridgeline
    • 4 Quilt Hooks
    • Double Ended Stuff Sack

    Bugnet Options:

    Option 1 Retractable Bugnet
This bugnet has one continuous zipper around the hammock and can be unzipped all the way to the foot end and stored away up in the peak of the hammock. It is permanently attached and is not removeable. It has 4 zippers for easy entrance and exit from either side of the hammock.

    Option 2 Dual Zip
This bugnet has a zipper on each side of the hammock that can be unzipped all the way up to the endcaps. It is not retractable or removeable. It makes for easy entrance and exit from either side of the hammock. This style of bugnet uses shorter zippers and it is the lighter option of the two.

    Fabric and Color Choices
The weight and width of the hammock will vary depending on your fabric choice. I always make the hammock as wide as the fabric will allow me to.

    HyperD 1.6
This fabric has a 300 lb rating.
A finished HyperD hammock will be around 58 inches wide.

    HyperD 1.6 XL
This fabric has a 300 lb rating.
A finished HyperD XL hammock will be around 70-72 inches wide.

    Mountain 1.3
This fabric has a 275 lb rating.
A finished Mountain 1.3 hammock will be around 63-64 inches wide.

    Mountain 1.7
This fabric has a 400 lb rating.
A finished Mountain 1.7 hammock will be around 70-72 inches wide.

Each hammock is custom made and has a 3-4 week lead time.

    Congratulations on the product launch!

How much does the non-retractable version save on average in ounces and grams?

So I assume the retractable looks like this (below) on one side and the non-retractable looks like this on both sides? Right?

Your assumption is correct! I built this retractable one pictured above for a customer and it came in at 21.5 ounces in Mountain 1.7 fabric. The non-retractable will be a little less and it can go lower when you drop down into the Mountain 1.3 fabric. I have more builds to do this week and next so I will get some more specific weights.

I finished up this beautiful Juniper Hammock in Hex 70 last night!

It is 11 foot long and 71 inches wide. It's very spacious and very comfortable. It includes a retractable bugnet, 4 quilt hooks, a double ended stuff sack, and it has loops sewn into the channel of the hammock on the inside for attachment of accessories such as a pillow or a peak storage bag.

I just finished up this Juniper this afternoon. This one's made from Airwave 1.8 fabric.
