Good photos Burner. I could have done without seeing the nastiest blister I have ever seen in my life. At least move that thing to the last picture. I bet those final miles made you contemplate cutting that foot off.
Your heel Erupted~~~!!!!

Amazing tip to prevent back-of-heel blisters:
Take a candy bar wrapper (anything aluminized and slightly oily on the inside) and put the wrapper inside your sock across the back of your heel.
As you walk, the two oily layers of the wrapper will glide against each other, preventing friction on your heel.
I have used this trick multiple times, always with amusing success.
UUUGH!! That's not a blister that's darn near degloving. What a unique place to hike!!
From one blister prone person to another: that's one to wear with pride! Congrats on finishing the trip out dealing with that. Looks like an interesting place to hike!
On that night there was massive lightning and thunder. It was semi scary. I was so happy to see my hg cuben hex tarp kept me and my wares and ridge runner quite high and dry. I was worried with the bridge.
Also the boots that did that were the same ones I’ve put hundreds of miles on. I got a new pair of te solomon 4 g or whatever, the same Solomon’s I had before but this time 13’s and not 12’s. I asked a friend about it and they said size up to the 13. I had always used the same size. Anyway it was the first trip and we were gonna say an extre night but we didn’t and I walked two days worth on that day. Being so wet and doing two days worth is what did me in. Yes, blessed to finish
