I agree that Airey lake last year was a fun time. A bit cool and windy if memory serves me (moonshine erases the memory of cold and windy!) but either way it was a fun time with great people! I’m willing if it fits into the schedule.

Airey would be great whenever it cools down a bit. Lots of trees! Got sick the last time yall planned one but it sounded like it was a good time!

I was at the Airey hang in February and would definitely be down to go again. I went earlier this week to the POW Camp lake and hung out. The weather is great for it even if I had a rain storm. Just made for some nice napping under the tarp! I was keeping an eye out on the gator there though. He was taking a lot of interest in my hammock and was keeping an eye on me for a while!

Etienne, do you think Dpitalo and Alkali keep up on the forum any more?

Hey Drifter, I mentioned this thread to Dpitalo. I know he's been pretty busy with work on his side of things. I'm not sure about anyone else. I've been trying to get a few people to try hanging with spare gear to try and grow the community down here though so hopefully we could have a few more than last time. Maybe we can find some more pine cones!

There were lots of scouts at Airey last weekend. They covered the campground. POW is an option. We would need to bring in plenty of water or bring filter. POW has fewer tables and no rr. It would be quieter. Would fewer facilities deter people?

Etienne, I'm happy to hear that Allie the gator is still hanging out. I haven't seen him for a while. I have pictures from years ago. Think I'll go for a visit this weekend.

Were yall hanging during the govt closure last year on the back side of the lake? If so, I saw yall when I was hiking in. I didn't know about the group hang. Had a new phone and couldn't access the forum cuz I forgot my password.
