    2019/2020 Florida Season

Are y'all feeling it? Is anyone up early enough to feel the temps in the morning? Are y'all ready to kick off the 2019/2020 season? It seems that we have gotten away from the hanging and hiking and have gotten into that eat and sleep routine. This year I propose that we hike in to Creekside for a Friday night hang. Most of us can make it in to there in the dark, some blind folded. Saturday night would find us at Isabelle creek. I have a feeling that some of our group has never experienced the beauty of Isabelle Ck. Now another idea. Being that Veterans Day falls on Monday the weekend could be extended for those off.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

You were asked about quite a few times this weekend at the pond. Wish you could have joined us.

My one and only was 4 years ago on the 25th. Grinder and I were half way in from Juniper Springs in a beautiful light drizzle, beautiful drizzle that made the hike bearable, when my wife called saying we had a new granddaughter. Other than that not the weekend I found enjoyable. The only redeeming factor was seeing friends I hadn't seen in a while.

This sounds great unfortunately I might still be recovering from my knee surgery, if I can make it I might have to stay at creekside.

Olddog, nice to hear from you.
Yes, the temps are very nice. This weekend saw the nights all in the upper 60's, Saturday night at 66* and days mostly in mid 80's. This would have been the time for you to come out to the pond.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Olddog, I was thinking of beholding a pergola type top for this, maybe 4 feet wide to provide a little shade, but at about 4 pm the tree next door gives me a little.
