Hey there! I finally caved in and joined the forum after watching all of Shug's videos and hanging in various hammocks for a little over a year. I do not have much time to be on forums, but I know this is a good one so...
I did camp in a Vietnam era jungle hammock many years ago, but did not find it very comfortable and it was quite heavy. I still have not found a hammock that I am totally satisfied with.
I generally hang in my Hennessy Exped zip during bug season and my Outdoor Vitals ultralight doublewide once the bugs have mellowed. I do have OV's bug net, but the drawstring is difficult to get a tight close on and tends to slip open during the night. Anyway, I added a DutchWare UCR adjustable ridgeline to this hammock and managed to dial in the sag. I had the best 9.5 hours of sleep!
I would like to try a DutchWare Chameleon, and a Dream Hammock, Sparrow someday....
Here's a sample of what I'm up to, with a nod to Shug. Thanks for the inspiration Shug!
