In other words, replace the apex hardware with the turtle tie?
I’ve got a couple turtle ties coming and also have a Ridgerunner. My thought process is to use the turtles opposite from your idea; replace the apex with the turtle and use single strand Amsteel with a spliced loop from my tree strap. I use a loop alien on a spliced continuous loop but can eliminate some material with the turtle- possibly (but it doesn’t matter).
I’m a bling freak, and enjoy playing with the different options.

I vote for green and red. Starboard - green and port side - red.

I would chose red, gunmetal and blue

When I need to mark a hammock for the head end, I use orange (as close to red as I can get sometimes) or red Amsteel for the loop. "Red is Head". Also for mini-miners on the under quilt. I was also going to use Black for the other end, "Black is back." but when there are only two choices, you just have to identify one. So I vote for a Red or Orange.

Just saw this thread after being out of town a couple days. Nice job on the video explaining how loads affect the amsteel plus how it's different than other products that may or may not be on the market today.

My choice for colors is this: red for the head end, black for the foot. I think some new suspension haedware is in my future!

I received a set of these in the mail yesterday. I haven’t yet tested them (and at 330lbs it will be quite a test), but thus far I’m impressed with them.

I’d like to get my hands on some 1/8th inch Amsteel to see how it lays in the curves and edges of this hardware. I’d be more comfortable on a single strand of 1/8th than a single strand of 7/64ths. I suspect it will work just fine.

As far as colors go, if I had to choose I’d have to vote for blue and gunmetal/gray. Blue for use cases where the hardware wasn’t attached to the cordage (easy to find after a drop) and gunmetal otherwise. Edit: Green is just fine though.

I suspect the anodizing is a batch cost which will amortize to a lower unit cost over a larger number of parts. At this early point in time, Fugalster probably doesn't want to carry the inventory risk of stocking a large number of these in several different colors. Maybe the color situation presents an opportunity for a Group Buy, where people pre-pay for the colors they want, assuming there is enough demand for each color to justify a batch. This would then allow for a quotation on the requested number of parts in each color, and alleviate most of Fugalster's inventory risk. Something similar was done a while back for a group buy on mini-carabiners.

    Just a thought.
