Well, those that can’t make it will be missed for sure. We will have a good time even if it we are temporarily under a tarp as the temps are not forecasted to be very cold. And the forecast keeps changing so maybe we will be lucky and it will miss us entirely. My plan is to be there around noon Friday, if not before to unload and set up.

Thanks Granny Pat! I’ll try to rustle up a couple of those blue plastic tarps too and hopefully we can keep the fire pit dry. This will be a Hang to remember!

Well, it’s just yet another story for the books about hanging at Raven Cliffs over the past six years! I truly believe that was my last hang there, so I’ll see about finding a new place near Ocean Isle Beach for the next hang once we get settled in. The weather was just that, rain, rain and more rain, I’ve got my garage covered up with drying tarps and other equipment right now. Thanks again to everyone that came out and braved the weather this past weekend, I just could bring myself to post “ hang cancelled” at the last minute after waiting so long to have it, hoping the weather would change. This was the first time we were not able to get a fire started for Granny Pat to tend to due to the “Monsoon” type conditions. Again, thanks to each one of you that mustered up the courage to brave the elements up there, I hope we can all get back together soon.

Except for the time the "burn ban" was in effect, and someone "Chuck"? brought a cardboard soaked candle for us to huddle around... Or maybe that wasn't Halloween, but anyways we have had lots of great times at that venue, and it will remain forever in my mind, as a place for good friends to meet and hangout. Years ago, it was MY first time hanging with a bunch of friendly folks from Hammock Forums, and has led me to meet a lot of good people that I will forever remember and hold dear... Anyways, it was an adventure to be sure! My main take-away from this weekend, is to always keep Granny Pat on my good side, and don't ever shine a flashlight into LazyBee's eyes in the middle of the night!
