Show me your DIY tarps, Custon tarps, Vendor tarps.

Some people love gear. They collect cool hammocks with all the fixins, different patterns and colors of outerwear, all manner of cook kits, gadgets and gizmos.

But, lets talk tarps. Your cover. The shell. Show me what your taste of the outdoors roof is like.

Whether its plane, outrageous, hugeish, offset, special to you.

I have a DIY Walmart fabric tarp with DIY sil. I cut one panel in half to sew to the bottom edge of the top panel so I don't have a sewn ridge on top. I also added buttons to the ends to close them. Although the tarp started leaking on me last year, I can make new sil to fix it.

As you can see, It's quite easy to pitch in many configurations to maximize view or weather protection.

    Sooo.... Whatcha got?

Thanks. Also a great looking tarp. Are the doors completely black or is that just the borders?

Would you mind putting a few on here to compare and contrast with the others? HG tarps are great and since they went to color/patterns, even better.

I really like that Burnt Orange with the mottled snow cover and brown/orange leaves still on the trees. Very nice.

Not the best but here are the three I have made. Green and tan was no kit just plans from this forum, yellow and grey ones are both 12' Winter tarp kits from RSBTR. Yellow I cut, and grey was laser kit. Go Laser kit all the way

Nice tarps. And big as well. I've been wanting to get one of those RSBTR Tarp kit. Unfortunately my funds now need to go towards a hammock since mine has some small holes developing.

Good to see how well the kits came out.

In no particular order, my collection of DIY tarps:

    IMG_2788.jpeg
First winter tarp, with kam snaps on the doors.

First and only asym. Have since sold. Cool tarp, just didn't use it much.

Two for one here. On the left is my Cowboy Badlander w/ half doors and 2 interior poles. On the right is my wife's winter tarp with doors made from RSBTR's precut kit.

Badlander in porch mode. This has become my go-to tarp for its versatility.

Here's my DIY tarp... plus, this won me a $100 gift certificate from a Dutchware DIY contest.

I have two. A WBSF and a DIY made by Squidbilly. The weather forecast determines which I take.
