I put the tarp and suspension in the outside pocket. They are first thing t be deployed and often wet.

I have found it more convenient lately to have a bag to hold my stake bag and suspension bag.I then use that bag to hold All other bags as they get emptied plus any extraneous gear that I might want to put my hand on quickly. So when it's time to break camp I have all my stuff in one place.I carry 4 titanium mini groundhogs for soft dirt and 4 titanium shepherd hooks for really hard dirt plus a piece of red line on each so they are easy to find later.
A bag in a bag, in a bag...
I didn't know Mini Ground Hogs were available in Ti... thought they were only alu. I have been switching between Ruta Locura CF stakes, Lawson HD Ti shephard hooks and Vargo UL shephard hooks.. Cut down gutter nails for winter.
Tarp goes in the pack if it's been dry, just to protect the DCF.. If it's been even the least bit damp, it goes in the outside pocket.
All suspension and stakes go in a DCF taco sack, stored in an outside pocket.
Hammock is in a DCF stuff sack and goes inside the pack liner if I am using one, obviously inside the pack.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Well, not sure where I got them but they look like titanium to me and have the same profile as the mini groundhog. All I know is,They Work when the shepherd hooks don't and the shepherd hooks will go in really hard dirt most of the time with little to no effort.
