Hammocks and kayaks are a perfect match. I've slept on a lot of banks and sandbars that would be impossible to pitch a tent on.

Welcome neighbor to the south! You'll find lots of great info here on the forums and I encourage you to get out to a group hang sometime. There's two coming up in October here in Michigan: the Chili Hang and the Gluttony Hang!
Yeah I’m set to go to the hang and chili Festival in October.
