What is everyone's favorite brand for gear?

There are as many different answers to that one as there are members here. If you can get out to a group hang, it's a great opportunity to see a variety of setups.

Another reason it's hard to give a single answer is that not all vendors make every component of a "complete" hammock system.

That's not an exhaustive list of vendors either, but I own at least one piece of gear from each of those and can vouch for all of them!
