25x78" a lot of matresses fit this width. I wanted to use the TK all season.. so 2" wider than Derek's a scootch taller too which gave me a bit more room for the storage pockets on the ends, the bottom is one piece that I wrapped like a present to keep the bath tub waterproof.
Caught some negative criticism on how it would only be good for stuff sacks and how it can't be done bla blah blah... Took me about 6 months of contemplation and 3 other prototypes (non-dyneema) but I think I got it.. Of course I could sew up another pretty quickly now and make changes, but I am diggin this one... Don't have a weight yet... more to come after I work out the tarp. I Have a surprise for you guys there too! LOL
Thanks Shug! That means a lot to me coming from you! gonna get up on the SHT soon, will have ta look ya up!
Man, that looks great. Any chances you will be taking some orders?
I’d love to order one of those. Fantastic!

Thanks for the info, Rocky. I cant wait to see your next surprise ! I am 6'2" tall and weight 202 lbs, and my back really needs to lie flat so your innovation (compared to Derek's narrower standard) is essential to me. Those 2" are liquid gold... also to widen the range of sleeping mats. Congrats again.
For four years I have been using a "solo" home-made adaptation of the Tentsile 3-anchor-points format (for long tours). My main needs are:
(i) be able to accommodate inside (not over the resting area) a backpack, which loaded incl. food, water, etc can reach 50 lbs,
(ii) detached tent and hammock,
(iii) maximum weight of the set 5 lbs,
(iv) setup based on the use of one of my hiking poles,
(v) be able to stay standing at some point and under cover,
(vi) space for hanging wet clothes,
(vii) 360° waterproof (silnylon water column 6000mm)
So far the performance is pretty good, very practical and completely adapted to my needs. But your solution clearly has additional advantages. My main doubt is: do you think such a heavy backpack could hang down at the ridgeline without destabilizing the system and comfort?
Keep up the good work. Cheers!

Yeah, definitely my biggest problem with the Haven Tent is how to fit into a big backpack... maybe make a lateral extension and use the ridgeline as a hanging support without modifying the weight distribution structure?
I've seen another new alternative on Kickstarter, interesting too but in some ways not as efficient as Dereck's design.
