My homemade tarp for European motorcycle trip and my Hennessy Jungle XL

After a lot of research, and trying a few "large" tarps, I realized that I needed to make my own for a motorcycle trip around Europe. I was concerned about being able to all my gear under cover and secured (as I've heard that theft in the night can be an issue) as well as the possibility of putting the motorcycle under cover in heavy rain.

Here is what I came up with, and it worked great!

It's 2 sections of tarp that overlap about 18" across the ridgeline and snap together. One side was the 2 doors attached, and each section can be removed and used separately (as needed).

Here it is in Belgium, the bottom black hammock it for all my motorcycle gear, to keep it dry and the bugs out.

And in the Alps, on a day when I could only find 1 tree

I was in a hurry (dang mosquitoes) so the tarp isn't perfect in this one, but worked great.

Were you always able to get two trees for the hammock or did you need to ground bivy it now and then?

Looks great and functional for ground or hammock use.
I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.

I think I understand how you put that together, but a diagram would be nice if you have one. That looks nice and warm.
    Is it Silnylon?
Where did you acquire the material?
    Did you use an underquilt?
How did it pack down, and attach to your bike?
Nice bike, BTW. I'd like to try one some day.
