Unless you have a driving need to, or want to show it off to a group of like minded folk, then not really. Batona has plenty of trees:

HA! Seeing as I'm flying to D.C. and then back out of Philly I'll leave it at home. Looks like the night time temps are going to be down in the mid 30's. Seems like it's going to be a great time to meet some new friends.

Honestly, I don't meet many hammock campers out here on the West Coast and often I'm that lone ranger trying to explain why I don't sleep on the ground for so many years it's going to be strange to have a camp full of hammocks. I have turned a few friends into hammock campers over the last couple of years. I'm stoked to see what sorts of interesting new ideas and methods I can steal and take back to the Best Coast!

There's quite a few of us NJ hammock folk, and in general it seems like it's rather prolific on the East Coast. There will definitely be a chance to check out a lot of different setups while you're here, that's for sure.
If there's anything I can say about our extended group, it's that we're as a general rule pretty friendly and we love to show off our stuff - so don't be shy, and I'm sure you'll get to see plenty and may get a few ideas to take home!
