This summer, I decided that I don't need to bring my Luci light with me. I always carry a small flashlight, and I can save ~4 oz by leaving the lantern. However, I've been rethinking this choice.
One night on a bathroom run, I very briefly lost track of my hammock. Now, I never go far at night, and I wasn't lost for very long (a few moments). But it seems to me that a light in the hammock anytime I'm away from it at night would be a nice safety feature.
I'm looking at some different lights. The Luci is great, and the soft white model is very soothing to have at night. I recently learned of the (also solar chargeable) Solight Twilight (~2oz), and a keychain light by Nite Ize that uses a couple very small batteries (0.65oz).
I'd love to learn from others' experience. Does anyone else like to use a light at night? If so, what do you use? If not, why not?
