You should check out Schill Brothers Outdoors on youtube as they are from that area and have documented many of their local trails.

If you are doing your first backpacking trip you can go right in your own back yard. The TVT in the Montgomery County Metro Park system at Germantown is hard to beat. There are several cross trails and loops so that you can adjust your trip if needed to shave miles or add some. Terrain is not hard and there is a nice meadow, new and old growth forest to walk through. Back country sites are only $5 to reserve. For Hammocking any of the Cedar Ridge sites have good hanging spots. At Oak Ridge you'll want site A only. Very nice, on a small bluff overlooking a creek. I've not been to Pine ridge but I hear it is also good for hanging.

If you do want to travel I'd suggest starting out on the Zaleski State Forest BP loops.

A third place that is close would be East Fork SP in Clermont County. Depending on mileage you can make various loops and end up at Site 1 or Site 2 and loop back without doing the full 55 miles around the lake. Site 2 has good spots a little away from the shelter area. Site 1 has many nice spots behind the Adirondack shelter.

Might I also suggest joining some of the many Backpacking Meetup.com groups we have here in the Ohio Valley.

A good source for info can be found at BackpackOhio.com. They have descriptions and trail maps for anyplace in Ohio that one can backpack.

Try lake Vesuvius , 8 mile lake shore trail -easy, 16 mile backpack trail - moderate, or a combo of both.

Zaleski is a great first trip location. Privies and potable water at camp sites. It's my go to for taking first timers, wives and kids.
