    Flash Grundelore has Gone South

I have indeed gone through with my planned move back to Carolina to be with the Reverend elfLiza.
We are now settled into our new home high up on the south front of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Mount Pisgah, the Smokies, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and looking out over the NC/SC line.

I already miss my hammocking friends in New England. I hated missing out on the over-eating at the Harold Hang and I hate knowing I won’t make Lobsters and Lighthouses either. However, I am looking forward to finding a new crowd in the VA/NC/SC mountains hang up my hammock and hang out with.

I know that quite a few folks on here were kind enough to also visit my Maine & Outdoors-centric blog. So, if you know me, and would like to keep up, you can check the latest adventures, and my rambling thoughts at my new blog “Blue Mountain”.

Modz: if linking this in disallowed, please PM me and I will pull it.

Flash, you are among friends here, even if you say words differently.
    Medoc Mountain week B4 Yates
Yates is time change weekend every Fall and Spring
I might be mistaken, isn’t there a (Linville) Gorge Hang same weekend as Medoc
You’d get to hang with some Gorge Rats
Grayson Highlands Hang last weekend in September
All round great people to hammock camp and swap lies with your coffee or optional spirits
Most of these are car camping with opportunity for day hiking and overnight backpacking camping to stretch your abilities and get away from civilization.
Pick several and go, even if for one overnight,

You can tell us stories of past hangs up Nawth

Flash, sometimes, I make Air Land&Sea sandwiches. You can critique, after trying one and you can make your own Air Land&Sea sandwich.
I think lump crabmeat is a good one out of three.
Maybe bacon and some bird gizzards, or boneless wing can round out the three.
Top with your favorite sandwich fixings.
Nothing can compare with fresh caught seafood off New England coast...just have to make do

Will miss sharing ye olde hangin' site with ya, Ted, but I guess things change and we must all move on.
I now have Princess G and her clan to accompany me, but have not fully converted her yet. I'm up for the challenge tho.
    Enjoy the Blues!

    Good on both counts, Bro!
I'm sure the second lobster will be a burden, but you of all people are up for the sacrifice!

Hey Ted, good to see you are throwing out a presence down south. Missed you at HP and will miss you bunches at L and L. If I make it down south sometime I will look you up. Hope you have not melted yet. Fall is in the air this weekend and it has been a beauty. You will miss this great season I am sure!

Down the road a bit in Spartanburg. Welcome to the area! Still a noob to hammocking, but have done a lot of hiking in the area. Let me know if you're looking for trails.
