Getting Wife's Permission to go to hang

My wife has very little interest in coming camping. I always, however, make a point of inviting her along. I think we both heave a sigh of relief when she declines!

Funny thing, my husband is much the same: he had never loved camping, still he occasionally goes with me. I can go wherever I want without his permission, but we have the same rule Five tango mentioned: if I'm not back on the day we'd agreed (I usually take a day or two), then he can call the police. Gladly, we have a very calm and quiet neighborhood, but you'll never know.

I can think of no one I would rather partner with for a paddle or a hang than my wife. We really enjoy our time together in the woods. We are soon heading out for 2 weeks to hang on an island in Lake Superior. The highlight of our year.

I might add that I usually write down a hiking plan and any pertinent phone numbers for rangers etc when applicable.Really not an issue since I am with other reliable people but it does give her some peace of mind.

All too often I see folks posting about wanting to go to a hang but they have to get wife's permission.

Going to save you some time. My wife, The Terminator, says she is giving you permission to go to any hang you want.
