Tips on keeping tarp inside snakeskins?

Hey everyone, do you guys have any tips on how to keep a tarp in snakeskins? I've got sets from WB and HG, in nylon and mesh... I love having them and would never go back to not using them, but it seems like every time I set up a tarp or start putting in away, they split in the middle and a bit of the tarp flops out.

This obviously isn't a huge deal and can be fixed in a matter of seconds, rather it's just a bit of a nuisance. Is there any way to counteract it? I was also wondering what the mini-carabiners are included for with the WB set? I've just got them clipped onto the ends right now, but I have a feeling they might help with what I am asking about...

Two piece tarp sleeve? My solution was to get a one piece mesh sleeve.

Yep I've been thinking about that for a long time and will probably make the swap here soon... Fortunately I still have other tarps I could put my 2 piece sets on!

Elastic with cinches on the two inside parts.
I added that to mine and keeps 'em tight and in.
Or of course the one piece snakeskin.

I'm having a bit of a hard time imagining it but I think I get what you're on to... Did you sew them in/on to the snakeskins yourself or just braided elastic passing through something line a 1" duckbill?

I made a sewn over end channel and ran thin shock cord through it.

Hey, that's pretty slick! Thanks Shug ol boy. I'll see what I can do... I've got no experience in sewing as of yet, but I've definitely got to start, and this seems easy enough to put together.

I had two piece mesh snakeskins, and just sewed them together...took maybe 5 minutes. Now it works perfectly as a one piece sleeve...much better, and really a simple project
