    Spurtle Stand 2.0

While reducing the size of my Spurtle Stand to bring it indoors for full-timing, I redesigned it to simplify assembly and rigging.
I replaced the Open-L fittings with Flat Roof Side fittings, and cut them down to allow the use of only 12" continuous loops for rigging.
I no longer need to use the pins and spacers to hold the Top Rail or rig my hammock. Simply insert rails into fittings and snug the eye-bolts.

I like that setup. Wish I could full time indoors. I have anchors in the walls but my son has commandeered them.

I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.

nice! i like how this method skips having to drill for the pins. if i could do over again, i'd do it this way and also skip the quick connect buttons since it's an indoor rig it's fairly static and i have no fear of the pieces coming undone. and once you sit in the hammock it puts pressure on all pieces anyway to keep them together. that way there's no drilling at all, and it's all just cutting the pieces to size.

I really like the improved spurtle. Great work and thanks for all the nights I didn't have to sleep on the ground.

Thanks, guys. I'm finding I don't go to bed, anymore. I go to hang.

    Nice, thanks for posting this.

Is the bottom just a "T" with outriggers so to speak?

Yes, just a "T", perpendicular to the top rail.

    Thanks,
Really like this stand. Might have to be my next one. I have two sets of conduit turtledog stands right now, but they are a bulky. The next one will have to be able to fit on my motorcycle.

I read through the whole SPurtle 1.0 thread, but can't figure out if the vertical pipes and the outriggers are also fence pipe?
