I followed some generic instructions to DIY a pair of Costco down throw blankets into a sewn footbox TQ and a 3/4 length UQ (not afraid to say I did a pretty good job at it especially considering I had never sewn anything before ).
The instructions are great up until they part where the shock cord gets attached to the UQ. It called for grosgrain, but it wasn't really clear on the "how" and I can't decide the best way to get it done.
So, what's a good way to get the suspension sewn onto the edges of the UQ? I have plenty of 1.5 inch grosgrain, 1/8 inch shock cord, and a ton of those black plastic pinch lock things for the shock cord, so I'm able to have a suspension for the head and food end and a "width/tightness/snugness adjustment" for side to side comfort. Not sure if my terms are correct, I hope my description is clear.
Thanks!
