Really wet soil (mud) behaves more like a liquid than solid, and is most challenging. A buried “dead man’s anchor” may be adequate. But better to reduce the load by lessening stand tilt, bringing the center of gravity closer to the tipping point, where the line tension approaches zero. Anchor the head end as well for insurance. This is for tensahedron stands. If Solo-type, really soft ground may compel you to hike farther to find better conditions, or excavate until the ground firms up.
