    XLC question

Have had my XLC for about 5 years. Love it. Have not had any issues. Just a curious question: how/what do you look at when staking out the shelf and entry side tie out? I've just always stretched them some and staked. Wondering how you know what the ideal/optimum positions are?

I just go straight out the side to ground when backpacking.
Occasionally use a hiking pole to lift entry side if not using poles for porch mode.

I saw that entry with the trekking pole tie out you did the other day. I thought to myself, ' This Shug.....he is like the Gandalf of the Hammocking Realm.'
So much wisdom and magic .
Im gonna try it on my next outting ;-)

This, to me, is one of those "don't overthink it" situations. What you have been doing works. I don't think changing will improve anything.

I could be wrong and am interested to see, though!

Gandalf is my second cousin one removed.
I have been donned "Lord of Lollygag."
Gandalf works way harder than me.

I'm getting to where I don't tie out my shelf side. The head side I hook onto my thunderfly tarp corner.
