    Getting started in the UK

    Hi there

From the UK and getting started does anyone know of any campsites that allow hammocks or upcoming outings?

You'd have to do some research for local woodsy looking campsites online then give them call...plenty of camping websites whether you live in England, Wales or Scotland.

    Etc, etc.

I'm in Devon. I've not tried staying at a campsite with my hammock. Dartmoor isn't fab for hammocking unfortunately - if you check the wild camping map, pretty much all woodlands are off-limits for camping.

    Hello from Scotland.

I have used Comrie Croft in central Scotland several times and it is good.

I also came across this list which contains a few others to check out.

Like other people, I'm always interested to know of any other hammock friendly camp sites.

    Cheers
