My son and I going to be camping at Wildcat Den State Park the third weekend in September. There are no group sites except for youth groups. There are quite a few sites still available, including the option of walk up sites for those who prefer to be more spontaneous. This is also the same weekend as the Buckskinners Rendevous, which looks to have some fun activities in the North side of the park. We'd love to have a chance to get together with other members of the forum. Please post if you plan to be at Wildcat Den State Park so we can keep an eye out for each other!

are there many tree for a hammock?

Just saw your question. I've actually never been there myself. Found a recommendation for it on a hammocking site and liked what I saw. You can view pictures of the various sites if you visit the reservation website. There are several sites that look promising based on the pictures.
