You can "store" them in my closet

If stored in oversized sacks or laid flat...I'm picturing Cargo Netting anchored to wall & ceiling ?

Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.

I lay some flat in plastic bins and store them under the bed.
Hang each one on its own slacks hanger:

Then you can either hang several off a closet or bedroom door on something like this:

Or put a command hook on the wall for each hanger. You could space them either so that the quilts are hanging side-by-side, or so that each one overlaps the next up to halfway.
Perhaps you have a relative nearby who has space at their place to store them. There is also the option of a storage unit.
I was going to say, as long as the space is unoccupied, do this or just put them in the cotton storage sacks. If the bed had a decent height, maybe 8", fine. But don't pack them in there tight under a really low bed. A little won't hurt them; they're not the world's most fragile thing like some people make them sound.
Ikea can do wonders for relatively little investment.
