What’s the difference between this one and one made for a gathered end hammock? In other words, will this work for a gathered end hammock?

It will. It has about 1 foot more end coverage each side and is 6 inches or so wider per side as well . Lots of room for cooking or hanging out if it rains.

Sorry about that. You were faster than me. I got out for a quick 24 hour backpacking trip and you answered your own question before I even saw it! It’s a lot of weather protection for a little under a pound!
