    I am going to try this with my WBRR and Western Mountaineering TQ. The WM TQ already has Kam snaps on the neck yoke, so why not? It looks like the extra grosgrain placed where the zipper departs from the saddle bag would be the ideal spot to place the Kam snaps. Hit me up if you've been successful trying this.

    I am not sure I agree that unloaded you want the UQ to lift the hammock. That makes me think when you lay in the hammock you will create a fair amount of pressure to the insulation of the UQ thus defeating the idea of loft. If you were able to close the ends as discussed then even if you have some air space between you and the UQ you should get great heat retention. You may need to hang a little higher to account for the sag........
    This is assuming you have a differential cut underquilt, if you have anything else it gets tricky to setup. So if you have a differential quilt, this is true, if not then you have a good point, but trying to setup a regular quilt will be a lot harder
