    SLD Apex Pillow

I love my Apex Climashield pillow in the HyperD material. I take this 9/10 times.

After my last trip, which was a hot greasy mess, I figured it was time for a wash. I hand washed it in the tub with my pack and basically everything else from that trip. But drying it...wow!!! Sat out in the sun for a few hours and I don't think it did anything. I kept wringing it out. Then smashed it between towels. Then in the dryer for a minute. I finally found the best way was to put it in the delicate spin cycle for a minute; that threw out a ton of water. This apex stuff really hangs on to it!

Nice and fresh now. I have a pillow case, so I may start using that. But I'm sure I'd want to just wash this again anyway.

    Great pillow! Get one!

I love my SLD Apex pillow as well. But mine is made from Hexon fabric. I kinda wish it was HyperD, because I like the feel a bit more. Either way, it's a fantastic pillow, and is priced well!

Love both of mine as well, take one every trip. Getting two more made for ground dwelling when I place my next SLD order.

Solid choice for pillows. I've had mine about a year and still haven't washed it. May have to do that after my last hot, stinky trip. Plus it beats using a wadded up fleece.

I'll join the crowd here... love my Hexon hunter green SLD Apex pillow. Feels great, not too puffy, keeps cool & it's priced right!

After many pillow purchases, this has become my favorite (I own two of them).

I have three for my family and may get a fourth. They are fantastic and a great value.

I finally ended my quest here. One last shot I took at reducing bulk and weight was the FlexAir inflatable pillows. You blow it up with a straw. Nice idea, almost weightless, bulkless, but TERRIBLE in a hammock. Maybe on the flat ground, but no way in a hammock.

It was worth a try, but the SLD pillow is permanently etched into my gear list. I feel like getting a "backup" in case Jared stops making them.
