Alabama Sipsey Bankhead Fall Hang

October 18, 19, 20 is the weekend after the spousal unit's and my 25th anniversary. All I can say is that's a long time to be married to the wrong man. Not sure if I can swing a group hang that weekend but we'll endeavor to do so.

I'm down for sure for a winter hike in and hang if someone wants to put one together. Winter is always easier and more enjoyable for me.

As we reached camp after after many creek crossing- all of which were flowing high due to all day rains- a cold front was moving in:

Right after that picture, some guys in Kayaks pulled up right to the base of Fall Creek Falls and parked their kayaks, then disappeared to camp somewhere. Next morning:

There was a nice video by Mr. Prez in that thread of us hiking out in the snow- about 5" in the bed of my truck by the time we got out- but that link no longer works. But that was a memorable trip! Both Bankheadboy(known then as Ihangbankhead) and Skippy were there!

I'm with you Divinity, when you're retired it don't mater. But I do remember when I had to work at trying to figure out when I could do a get away. Let's see what I can leave behind this year.
