Smile ViDEO: Tarp Pitches for Seeing Sky

To tarp or not to tarp.
When I don't pitch my tarp it always seems to drizzle or else pine needles fall on my face.
Here are a couple of tarp pitches and ideas to still see the night sky but also be ready to deploy tarp if things get dodgy.

Many new hammockers may not know some of these pitches iff'n they never dealt with tarping before. And becoming a hammock camper; one need know the Tarp Life through and through.
    Hope it gives some insight.

The half back has been my go to for years but I never thought about the quarter back. I like it, perfect for sleeping and quick cover if needed. Love the tshirt.

+1 on the above. Love the sky views when in the hammock and as usual, you taught me something I didn't know.

The quarterback has been my new favorite. Thanks on the shirt. It is from Wandern'Fool.

I do like being covered but like a moon-roof.

ViDEO: Tarp Pitches for Seeing Sky

Great videos and ideas Shug. Watching it, I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of it. I will give both the quarter and half a try this coming week with my WBRR and Thunderfly tarp when I am up in the ADKs. Thanks again.

A very nice "pitch" you made to the new hangers. Sometimes we forget they don't know what we know.

I do like the "quarterback". Quick and single point to attach in case of rain. Will need to try that one out next weekend at the "No UQ Hang".

The "halfback" is an oldie but a goodie. I like the name for that, now. Good job.

I also liked the tarp pitch you did in the noobie series where you slide the head end of tarp to the middle on the CRL to see directly overhead and slide it back for rain and reattach the 2 end guyouts.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

The tarp pitch for those that never tarped is a real art and takes some time.
I never use a CRL anymore so done with that pitch. Good to hear from you.
