Show me your Deck hammock hang

I have a rotting, poorly constructed deck in my back yard. As I willl be replacing it soon, I would like to incorporate a spot to throw up a hammock when the mood strikes me.

I would like to see what others have done with their back yard desks to accomodate a hammock.

I do this all the time, but it's nothing exciting to share. We're in a townhome community and each one has a 2nd story deck supported by two 4x4's. Sadly, they are just under 11' apart, so that means no tarp with a ridgeline longer than 10.5' and it's even a relatively short hang for the hammock. I use Beetle Buckle straps around the 4x4's, pulled to bare minimum distance (which you can kind of see in the first photo) and on most of my hammocks the length of the continuous loops gives me an approximately 30 degree hang angle. So the only thing to take away from this is to make sure the beams you'll hang from are 12, preferably 13 feet apart, at minimum.

Just as often, I use my Tensa4 stand farther out in the yard or occasionally on top of the deck.

You can see the other units' decks in the background of the first image.

Had to boost it a bit over the years with some lower supports for a more secure side to side motion support. Far upright bolted to house.

I usually bring my hammock when I go to the beach for hanging off the rentals deck posts. Here was a good hang spot on an upper deck at Holden Beach, NC.

I think the top post is the design element I need to incorporate. Thanks

I use a pipe stand on the deck, as well as in the yard.

I am getting ready to make a pipe stand. I have a nice covered deck to use. Sadly can not show my hang pictures. Dont want to give Shug a coronary from the bad hang.

No stand required since there's a balcony over the deck at the family cottage on the lake. Just got back from 2 nights going tarpless, but I did have to deal with some wind.

I recently renovated my back deck and cover. I paid extra for a single-piece beam on two supports instead of 3+ supports. Partly for the garden view, and mostly for the hammock. Hanging right under the beam means i don't need to worry about deflection or pulling the structure out of square. Hammock is suspended from 5/8" eye bolts put into the top of the posts. I clip the hammock up with caribiners and take it down when i'm not using it.
