    Quick soft shackles MyersTech style

Playing around with MyersTech's quick shackles. It's just a double overhand knot and I use the noose knot mod for security. I'll be hanging this week and am going to use them to make Tensa setup quicker. Black ones are 7/64" amsteel and the green one is 5/16" amsteel (think that was the size).

Yep, with a larksheaded loop, any kind of big joiner knot will do the trick. Even something like a slipped figure 8 if you wanted a knot that could be released easily.

I like a purdy little button knot as much as the next person, but in the field it just doesn't matter.

I just realized there was a whole thread on this already. Doh!! I would have posted there instead. I'm just playing around with easier ways to set up our Tensa stands for our trip soon. Next week is practice week so my wife and daughter can set theirs up correctly alone. We have 4 setups and 4 teardowns while on vacation at various campgrounds and it will go faster if we all can do it alone.

Can you link to the other thread...I can't seem to find it. How'd you splice the noose mod?
