I like it so much more than cloudburst! Porchmode w centerpole is amazeballs. +/- 3” of tarp coverage beyond each apex buckle.

Wow! That's a lot of tarp - but certainly is a great companion for a Ridgerunner hammock. Thanks for the pics.

Thanks! Sorry they are all sideways. Still haven’t figured out how to post them oriented correctly on this platform. I thought it might help someone because I couldn’t find pictures of the set up anywhere online when I was trying to make my decision.

Pole mod is wonderful. Just added two to my 'experimental tarp' when I camped two weeks ago. Everything is so much nicer - porch mode, visibility, getting in and out of hammock. Love the extra space. Yours looks great even if it's a perpendicular perspective. Enjoy the fruits of your Father's Day.

Can you tell me how the pole connects to the fly in the center, i usually wrap it around the pole a few times and tie a knot, but im looking for a quicker and easier solution.

Not sure what the “right” way is but mine had a bit of shock cord and a mitten hook on a grosgrain loop. I wrapped the pole with a few turns of shockcord on both sides of the hook and then clipped the tag end of the shock cord loop into the mitten hook.

The mitten hook with the shock cord wasn't bad but I use a nite ize #2 for the centerpole. One end through loop sewn into ridgeline and the other to pole. Easy and fast.
