Welcome Julie!
Ah reflective cord. Don't get me started. An inside joke that may show it's ugly head if someone points us in that direction
Welcome to the site, plenty of hammock hanging events coming up.
Straight out of Clayton.
Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.
I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

"Seek God, Embrace the Journey, Leave a Legacy of Love"
Hello, JulieT.
Matt in Buford, GA here. I've been hanging for a year+ now and love it. I've even got some of my son's Scout troop into hanging when we have troop camping events.
I'm all about the Reflective Dutch Cord for tieouts. I've outfitted my two tarps with the yellow reflective cord, plus glow-in-the-dark cord locks. Always makes it soooo easy to hone right in on my hang in a dark campground at night. Turn that way with my headlamp shining and my tarp/hammock light up all shiny yellow. There's a noticeable lack of tripping over tieouts in the dark now, as well.
