SLOVAKIA: Slovak Paradise in summer mode part 1

Three days and two nights exploring deep canyons of this beautiful part of Slovakia. Local hero took us around to hammock some rocks overlooking the green wild valleys.

So first we climb up Sucha Bela canyon, one of the most visited. But we came quite late so we had it all for us only.

Gorgeous views as always from Slovakia, but also some challenging views this time. Looks like fun!

Very interesting country. Looks like quite a bit of rainfall in the gorge area. I see some ferns. Do you eat fern fiddleheads? My wife was Korean and we would gather, and purchase dried, fiddleheads for some of her dishes. Is that snow on the ridges in the distance showing in the camp fire picture?

Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.

    Looks like a fun trail.
Were you nervous on any part of it?

Not at all on the trail. The time comes when one finds a nice cliff and there is no escape if the bear comes in
