Sweet! You can lug my stuff too!

    Kidding, I NEED the exercise.
Not sure if im kayaking or canoeing but back permitting I will help carry gear or beer. Lol
Only thing that would keep me away from this trip is excessive heat.
No signs,no fees,no rules, nobody. My kind of campsite.

My tentative plan is to paddle in on Thursday (21st) and paddle out at the crack of dawn on the Sunday (25th).

I just got back from 7 nights of paddling around Haliburton with my daughters testing out my new canoe. What a beautiful week!

I don't think I will be able to make this one. Unbeknownst, my partner and I started planning a trip to the French River the week before! Funny timing.

I am wondering: does anyone in the southern Ontario area have a 16' Prospector canoe they may be interested in selling? Or know somebody that has?

    That's the spirit!

I've spent some time today researching food storage and bears on the French and am concerned that we might not find appropriate trees for hanging our food and that Ursacks or bear vaults might be necessary. Can anyone comment on the matter?

Sounds like a good idea. I have both an Ursack-loksak combo and bear vault so if someone needs one I'll have an extra. Might be good to bring that bear banger too.
