Looks like August 20 - 26 (with possible extension or shift back a few days to, say, the 29th) suits the majority.

Can we commit to that so people can plan around it?

    Plan B
There are better ideas out there but to get the ball rolling I'll throw down:
    - the Barron Canyon
    - a loop out of Kiosk or
    - a secret Crown Land spot anybody is willing to divulge for the greater good

P.S. The Yurt floor is finally complete. Would never have happened without you folks! Woodstove coming soon.

Aug 20-26 works for me! Although I won’t go out until the 22 or 23. I’m good for anywhere we go as long as it’s in those dates.
    The yurt looks fantastic!!

That floor looks absolutely amazing. That place is going to be awesome when it's furnished and those wood-stoves go in.

I sense a winter get together in that yurt...
I'm supposed to be camping with my family on the 23rd and 24th. Might be able to go on the 20th and 21st if those dates are finalized and early trippers are within a day's paddle...and if I can get the time off work.

Winter or late Fall in the Yurt is beautiful, we should plan a November hike in so folks are familiar with the overland route. We snowshoed in (see my post / pictures from March) & it was great fun, even without a woodstove. We used two "indoor safe" kerosene heaters, brought the temp up to a comfortable 10 degrees. Francis is rigging up a 12V fan & ducting system to recirculate the heat better.

Forgot to mention earlier, if anybody doesn't have or feel confident in a solo boat & would prefer to share a canoe, I could bring my 17' tandem. The only catch is you have to commit to the whole trip, I don't want to be stuck with it solo.

Yep, that sure is one beautiful yurt! So there is a route to the yurt that doesn't require water? There's no way you would get me to walk on a frozen lake to get to the yurt.

Looks like I have an appointment I cannot change on the 20th so I won't be able to join at all. I'll be looking for pictures. Have fun everyone!
