    Hello from East Tennessee

    Hey guys and gals,
Just wanted to drop a quick message to introduce myself. Been hiking and hammock camping for pretty long time. My first real hammock was the Clark NX-150. I now use the Warbonnet Blackbird and love it. I will probably get the Ridgerunner as my next hammock. I recently bought a sewing machine and I am now just beginning to get into the DYI approach for gear. Very much looking forward to picking a few brains out there and hopefully making some new friends in the process!

Welcome from one of your neighboring states. From the sound of it, you've been bitten hard by the hammock bug: a Clark, a Warbonnet Blackbird, thinking about a bridge and doing some DIY. You're far down the rabbit hole already.

That handle was given to me from a good friend of mine who unfortunately passed away some years ago. I play the bluegrass guitar and my last name is McGill. He called me Bluegill. There was already a Bluegill registered on the forum so the 13 (believe it or not) is my lucky number. I went on my first date with my wife on Friday 13th and we got married a year later on January 13th. I now use Bluegill as my trail name.

For the last name of Gill I've had so many variations of nicknames and handles that have been handed to me - and it didn't help that when I went to college there were four of us with the first name Sean - anyhow long story short I have a passing resemblance to Gilligan (Bob Denver) nickname from college just sort of stuck.

Love your story though Great handle.
