If the group decides to postpone for any reason, there is a hang near Louisville that same weekend. Water is next to campsite and there are hiking opportunities. Just an FYI.

I walked and foraged the Sycamore Trail loop today with some friends but didn't go all the way down to CV2. It looked in good shape down to the switchbacks, beyond where you turn North at Site #2. Got a little rough in the bottoms, as you might expect. The foraging was a little sparse, but did find some fresh Winter Oysters/Ostreatus pleurotis on the opposite side of the loop. I will try to make it back out for the hang next weekend, but not looking good atm. With a little rain, I think the foraging next weekend will be better. It may be packed, because it looks like it will be peak color starting about then.

So true. The parking lots were all nearly full when we got there and getting worse when we left 4 hours later. Silver lining...a person *could* potentially park at a point due south of the site on Tower Ridge Rd. (presuming the lots were full) and cut some distance off their hike, although it would be through rougher terrain.
If the weather-guessers are correct, and they seem pretty positive this time, we are expecting somewhere between 0.5" and 1"+ of rain Monday. That might help the color change (doubtful this late), but will definitely help with foraging and ensure there will not be a burn ban for the hang (YAY!). It was dry as a popcorn fart down at both Crooked Creek/Yellowood and Deam yesterday and the burn restrictions were starting to spread across southern Indiana. Even if I can't make it back down, it should be perfect for an extended hang down there.

Hey guys,
Looks like I’m going to be able to make it. If all goes well I’ll be there Friday (maybe even Thursday)
Mule and I did the Sycamore Loop this weekend. The creeks are bone dry!!!
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
How far is the site from the parking lot? it looks less than 2 miles but I can't really tell.
