    Greetings from France

    Hi everyone,

I am a hammock hanger since 10 years. I enjoyed it way before but I became quite used to it a decade ago when I installed one at home and ended sleeping into it every night during years because I got back pains, feeling pains even if sleeping in a comfy bed, but don't feel any when I sleep into a hammock.

I'm also a recreational tree climber and I love sleeping in their crowns. For this hammocks are for sure the way to go.

It makes a long time I read this forum, I am very thankful for all the informations that can be found around. Now I feel it's time to participate as I get into DIY. With my girlfriend we are planning a trip across Sweden and Norway this summer and we will need good sleeping gears I plan to sew. Fabrics are on the way, I'm so thrilled. ^^

    See you around

I suppose hanging in the crown of a tree means you must really trust that suspension, eh !?! I think I will hang no further than I care to fall myself, but HYOH i suppose! Welcome to forum, mon Ami!

    Thanks for the welcoming

I keep my harness attached to the climbing rope while sleeping, and its attachment point has to be right above the hammock, or away from the tree to not swing back against the trunk, so if the hammock falls it would be stressful but safe. I care anyway about hammock's suspension to avoid that stress. ^^
