Taylor River - Central Cascades

This is a video from a quick trip we did along the Taylor River, just north of North Bend, Washington.

Since they've improved the road back to the trailhead, this area is getting quite a bit of use. Most people are day hikers, we probably saw the same amount of backpackers that we always see.

The weather was perfect, and I was able to sleep out without my tarp deployed. It's still the Cascades and can rain at a moments notice so I still strung my tarp up. It's always great to lay in your hammock and be able to gaze up at the stars.

Beautiful and your pup is no longer a pup. Man has he grown. It's hard to find alone territory when the weather is so nice. Thanks for sharing and great video work.

So true! He is bigger than I thought that he would get, probably over 80 lbs now. Still a great trail dog. Earlier this year we had cataract surgery done on one of his eyes, what a difference! He is back to leading the pack when we hike and of course he loves to sprint around the forest.
