Grandfather Mountain Hikes

in september i will be camping within an hour of grandfather mountain. If you on'y had one day to hike at grandfather mountain which one would it be?

when googling the best hikes at grandfather mountain I came across this write up: https://ashevilletrails.com/grandfat...calloway-peak/.

is that the best hike to do or should I do another one?

The profile trail seems to be the most popular and there is a water source on that trail.

Yep that’s a good trip. Another option is to go up Profile and then over to the Attic. That’s just trying right instead of left once you hit the ridgeline up top.

Another nice short trip is up Rough Ridge. Nice views and shortish trip.

Or you can hike from Beacon Heights to Rough Ridge and back. That’s a fun one. Views at both Beacon Heights and Rough Ridge. Plus you hike under the Blue Ridge parkway.
