As far as weather goes, you can expect high in 80s, low in 60s, and a rain storm in the afternoon. My forecast shows no rain until Sunday, YAH RIGHT.

As much as I hate to do this, I will not be able to attend. My back decided since it has not acted up in a few years that this was a good time to take me out. Hope to make it next time. Be safe.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Just a reminder: Don't forget your hotdog forks or I am sure you can find a good thin stick in the Enchanted Forest.

Well I got a kitchen pass for the weekend , so I’ll be there. I just read about the bear canister thing. Will my Ursack be alright up there? I’ll be in the hang site except for some day trips on the trails around there.

Loki this is referencing the Shining Rock requirement I believe. Not required at John Rock.

Awesome Mutley, no bear canister is required. Only if you want to hike past the Blueridge Parkway on the Art Loeb trail.
