    OH > June Hanging?

If anyone is up for getting out during June, speak up. I'm mostly free anytime, although I'm trying to plan a trip to New Mexico...dates unknown at this point.

I need to get some forestry therapy. I should be good for the weekends of the 8, 15 & 22, and maybe getting some week day/nights available soon

I'm volunteering to help the EGGS hike. Burr Oaks SP Group camp June 21-23. Perhaps combine a group hang and support the Buckeye trail all at the same time.

Sorry guys, busy weekend. Any how here is the page describing the event.
    https://www.buckeyetrail.org/eggs.php

There is a $60.00 event fee to participate. However this is waived if volunteering. (I not 100% sure of this, however, I did somewhere see that non-participants were welcome at $5.00/night... so $0.00 or $10- $15 for the weekend) I'll be prepared either way.

    to volunteer, I contacted:
    Byron Guy
    Buckeye Trail Association
    614-306-6603
    [email protected]

and offered to help facilitate the event. From the web site:
VOLUNTEER: We will be looking for volunteers to man trail checkpoints, assist with registration, and help with camping activities for any hikers bringing their family and little hikers to the event. Volunteers receive free meals from the BTA Chuckwagon and a free t-shirt.

Free Food and T-shirt wozza count me in. I hear the is a big party Saturday night. It runs from Thurs noon to Sunday noon. I am showing up late Thurs. and can stay to about 2:00 on Sunday.

I actually signed up by messaging him throught the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/eggshike

Hope to see you guys there this is a large event attended by many in the Ohio Backpacking and hiking community, not just hangers.

I hope the Wildcat Hollow trail dries up by then. It was extremely muddy 2 weeks ago when I hiked it. Made for some hard miles.
