Trekkingbeaver and Trees company, do you guys have dates in mind? I'll look at the links and see if my ability is there! My back is recovering decently, but I still have some pain I'm dealing with.

I don’t have a date set , I m just gauging if there is any interest. I now have commitments the next two weekends so I can’t go until July. The pine Mountain trail can be broken up into sections I don’t know weather I want to take an extra long weekend and do the whole trip or not.

I'm leaving for Burr Oak group camp Thursday. Stop out this weekend if you can.
Got out to Mohican Park and Pack #5 friday, 8,9, and 10 were already signed out at 3pm... (probably a few days early). The trail was a muddy mess but camp was in good shape, we'd never been to that site. It was a good time with a 830pm bedtime - > 9am wakeup. That's some solid lollygagging as far as I'm concerned.

What do you do if you get there and everything is full? I always wondered about these places. I'd drive maybe 30 minutes to find out, but anything more and it would be a waste. Some places people say "I've never seen it full", but I experienced "never" far too many times to keep playing that game.
When you say early, are you saying people go on a wednesday and fill it out, for the weekend? If so, that's total BS!
I too have "never seen it full". I also have not gone on a holiday weekend or anything like that. That being said, 8,9, and 10 are the prime sites in my opinion because they are up on a ridge. Those sites are the hardest to get. I always figure that if we get there and it's full, we will just turn around and camp at Findley State Park on the way home. Mohican State Park campground is really wide-open and not the kind of camping experience I look for.
One time we signed out for a site and a guy and his son were already in the site we signed out for. I explained to them the sign in process for which they claimed to be unaware. It's like 730 on a Friday night at this point and he begrudglingly says "okay give me some time to pack up." I can tell he isn't really serious, and I see that his 7 year old son is pretty sad about this news. My girlfriend and I just hiked out at that point and drove home. ( cleveland area). I didn't want that guy hiking out all angry and doing something to my car. He seemed like the type.
Long time no see. Finally have some free time this weekend if anyone wanted to try to hit Mohican Friday Or Sat. Haven’t been out in forever and could use some tree time.
